The artworks that I feels a a connection with are: Branches Over a Stream (Charlotte Spaulding Albright,1908), Sweeper in Doorway (Charlotte Spaulding Albright, 1908) Sunset over Water (Josef Sudek, 1906), Water Lily (Augustus Thibaudeau, 1912), and A Bridge (Augustus Thibaudeau). I feel a connection with these artworks because they are photographs done in the Pictorialist manner and I love the way the photographers composed the images and used techniques that have almost a mystical quality about them. I think that photographs done in this style have an old master painterly feel, yet maintain their own quality of being a photograph.

The artworks that make an impression on me are: Still Life on a Mantlepiece (Georges Bracque), Women's Head Bronze (Pablo Picasso), Dynamism of a Dog on a Leash (Giacomo Balla), The Yellow Christ (Paul Gaugin), The Voice of Space (Rene Magritte). These artworks make an impression on me because they are all the ideal of a specific movement of art and define what that movement is: Cubism, Futurism, Surrealism, and Expressionism.

The artworks that I would like to know more about are: Paul Gaugin's Spirit of the Dead Watching, Pablo Picasso's Nude Figure, Stuart Davis' NY Waterfront, Andre Derian's The Trees, and Pablo Picasso's La Toilette. I would like to know more about these works because I either do not know about the individual artist or the work is not done in the style that the artist is famous for and I would like to know the story behind it.
